“Don’t be Square” Square + US Post office automation = a non-machinable surcharge & postage penalties; when designing any piece for mailing that you intend to apply for postage discounts square is out, rectangles are in.
Did you know that mailings using pre-sort standard class postage can be tracked by the Post Office on a daily basis and information such as delivered amounts and location can be fed to you by e-mail throughout the entire delivery process, (for a fee of course).
When processing large mailings using pre-sorted standard class mail shipping to other states ImageX will arrange mail to bulk ship to BMC’s (bulk mail centers) which by-pass using the post office bulk shipping methods and instead uses private carriers which can save as much as a week in delivery time not to mention thousands of dollars in postage cost.
